Bio
Hot Jupiter
As many folks are cuddled in their beds, or chilling on their couches, the members of Hot Jupiter can often be found carrying large objects in the dark through tenuous conditions. These often unseen, mysterious activities of lugging gear are the jet fuel that powers the rock machine ready to come to life and take flight at the gig.
Hot Jupiter has been active in the music space since 2007 when they played their first show at Zaphod Beeblebrox. Since then hundreds upon hundreds of gigs have followed. Festivals, bar gigs, private parties, and a myriad of musical adventures throughout the galaxy are what we are all about. Most of all we love connecting with people and sharing our love of music with our world, and the rest of the universe.
Rocking out and making people happy with music has been the main preoccupation of Hot Jupiter in 2024. In between gigs the band has been focussed on recording and releasing music. Combining top notch musicianship with original writing and production, the band continues to work towards their first full length album of original material.
The singles Postcard, The Hardest Thing, and This Town were all released in 2024 and are available anywhere you get your music. The latest hard rocking single This Town is an ode to Ottawa and to working artists and musicians everywhere. More singles and the full album to follow in 2025 and beyond.
As the band continues recording and booking shows, 2026 will have more performances and new music. Recent shows at the Heart and Crown Preston, The Bronson Theatre opening for Glass Tiger, and many others have garnered new fans and more requests for gigs throughout the universe.
